Second Service Dog Sponsored by Beast Code

Beast Code presented a check to Healing Paws for Warriors, Inc., sponsoring our second annual service dog at today's NCMS seminar. Healing Paws for Warriors’ mission is to train rescue dogs that will be paired with veterans. This program comes at no cost to the veteran and changes their life. They believe that their program can not only save a dog's life, but a veteran's life.

"Depending on the veteran’s individual need, dogs will be trained specific for them as an Certified Service Dog.  A Certified Service Dog is allowed by law to enter public places such as the veteran’s work place, restaurants, buses, stores, etc. These are rights set forth in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  They will graduate with both the AKC Good Citizen and AKC Good Citizen-Public certifications," says the Healing Paws website.

This local organization does a tremendous amount of work in supporting our local veteran population, which are near and dear to the Beast Code team. We will be providing updates on our next service dog as they are selected, named, and go through their training.
