Employee Spotlight: Michael Shoemaker

Beast Code has some amazingly talented employees in its ranks. The Employee Spotlight series highlights the talented individuals who work here across our different departments. Each month, we’ll be featuring an interview here on the blog and our social accounts. For this month’s Employee Spotlight, we spoke with Michael Shoemaker, a Content Developer on our Screen Creation team.

If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you name it?

"The Time I Thought I Knew Stuff But Didn’t: A Complete Autobiography."

What is your favorite part about working for Beast Code?

The environment, I love that I never feel an overwhelming sense of pressure from the executive team.

What are you most proud of from time your time with Beast Code?

The diesel generator interface I put together, I was proud about how I handled the scripting. I really enjoy solving problems.

If you weren't working at Beast Code, what do you think you would be doing?

Game design, I would love to be able to own and run my own game design company. Even if that only consists of a few people.

What makes the team you work on special?

That our work goes a long way in providing students the ability to be much more hands on with the controls of the ships.
