For this month’s Employee Spotlight, we spoke with Brandon Sumner, a DevOps Engineer on our DevOps team.
If you could visit anywhere in the world you have never been, where would you go?
If I could visit anywhere in the world, I would really love to go to Thailand. They have a rich cultural history, beautiful beaches, jungles to backpack through, and amazing wildlife.
If Beast Code had a theme song, what would it be?
I think our theme song would be the Rocky Theme. We used to be the underdog, but we've grown quickly and now we're on the path to becoming champions!
What is your favorite part about working for Beast Code?
My favorite part about working at Beast Code has been working with the latest and greatest technologies. We are encouraged to use tools that are necessary for innovation and make our processes more efficient.
What has been the most important innovation you’ve witnessed in your lifetime?
I'm going to sound really old, but the most important innovation I've witnessed in my lifetime is high-speed internet. It has changed the way almost everything is done in the world.
What is your most memorable moment at Beast Code?
My most memorable moment at Beast Code is seeing the QA department growing from two testers into a full blown DevSecOps department that encompasses IT, Cyber Security and DevOps Engineers.
Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration in several areas such as art, music and watching/learning from others who specialize in a particular field.
